Interaction of Loom^lacZ spermatozoa with wild-type eggs. Spermatozoa from the cauda epididymis of Loom^lacZ/lacZ adult testis (25 weeks old) in HTF medium attach to isolated wild-type eggs inefficiently and hardly move them around. Many sperm cells are unattached to eggs.
