ECs can associate with multiple germ cell cysts.
A 120-minute time-lapse movie showing MARCM labelled wild type ECs in region 2A of the germarium. The EC on the left associates with a close-by cyst and successively engulfs another cyst further away (cysts are numbered 1 and 2). Both ECs shown in this movie closely interact with each other (yellow outline). The presented maximum projection includes 20 z-planes per time point at focal planes 1 μm apart, captured in 1-minute intervals. Scale bar is 10 μm.
