Germaria with woc-deficient ECs lack long and stable extensions.
A 120-minute time-lapse movie of ECs expressing woc-RNAi. While some protrusive activity is visible (magenta arrowheads), no long extensions are generated to encapsulate germ line cysts. Cyan arrowhead marks a posterior EC that sends a protrusion but fails to engulf. The presented maximum projection includes 20 z-planes per time point at focal planes 1 μm apart, captured in 1-minute intervals. Scale bar is 20 μm.
