Movie 3
A continuous time-lapse record made of a pair of ectodermal cells that had completed mitosis as the sequence begins. Within 60 minutes, fragments containing GFP appear near the most active of the cells. The embryo is 21 h at the beginning of the sequence and derived from an egg injected with Sp-SoxC:GFP. The number of fragments increases over the next 4 h. After 5 h, the nucleus of the cell fragments. The 72 second movie records 6 h of development.
