Time-lapse imaging of the dynamic movements of medial and lateral cell populations in the bilateral heart primordia during heart tube formation. Stripes of cells were labeled with DiI (magenta) or DiO (green) in the primordia at two mediolateral positions and two anteroposterior levels prior to their fusion. Selected images are shown in Figure 3A.
