Three-dimensional reconstruction of a confocal stack showing the brain of a first instar wach larva. Cherry expression (shown in white) enables us to observe the type-II NBs, most of the neurons that they generate and their axon projections. The type-II NBs are grouped into three clusters (aDM, pDM and DL). In order to see the axon projections, the cell body labelling is saturated. Note that the clusters project a subset of their axons into the interhemispheric commissure.
