Cranial neural tube closure is disrupted by zinc deficiency.
Zinc deficiency induced by treatment with 15μM TPEN at the start of imaging of a 9 somite Ven^Myr mouse embryo causes failure fo cranial neural tube closure and significant reduction in head size (n=6).
