Time-lapse confocal microscopy of mCherry-PAR-2 in air-1 (RNAi) in the one-cell stage of C. elegans embryos. Time-lapse movies were acquired using FV3000 Confocal system, 60X 1.4 NA objective, with high-sensitivity cooled GaAsP detection unit (Olympus Corporation, Japan) at 1 frame every 10 seconds, played at 20 frames/sec. Note the formation of two PAR-2 axis, at the anterior and posterior cortex in air-1 (RNAi) embryo in comparison with a single PAR-2 axis formation in control embryo (Movie 11).
