EcR.A[W650A] expression disrupts AFB development. Representative movie of abdominal adult fat cells at the tergite in the absence (left) or presence (right) of EcR.A[W650A] (a dominant negative mutant of EcR.A). EcR.A[W650A] and CD4::tdGFP were induced after puparium formation by using c833-Gal4, ppl-4kb-Gal80, and tub-Gal80[ts]. AFBp cells expressing EcR.A[W650A] showed minor defects in their migration period. They ceased migration by 55 h APF (at 29°C) and, then, displayed profound atrophic changes.
