Contraction of simulated actomyosin networks. The movie shows the same network simulation as depicted on Fig. 5A, in inverted colors. Filaments are painted in white, Myosin in green, Crosslinkers in blue and Arp2/3 in red-orange. The outer circle has a radius of 6μm. The network is composed of 1810 filaments ranging from 0.021 to 4.423μm in length for a total polymer of 4745μm. It contains 3230 crosslinkers, 10280 myosin motors and 315 Arp2/3 entities. The movie covers 2s of time, during which the network shrinks for covering R = 6μm to R~3.5μm.
