Movie 1

(Related to Figure 1A). Time-lapse confocal imaging of a X. laevis embryo at NF stage 10-11 undergoing cytokinesis. The embryo was co-injected with MO+Mgc-3xGFP (green) and a probe for MTs (2xmChe-EMTB, red). Mgc-3xGFP accumulates at overlapping midzone MTs and also at individual MTs at the equatorial cortex. The movie is 679 s long with a time interval of 2.77 s between frames. A total of 235 frames (single z-planes) are played at 25 fps. Several frames that were out of focus as focal plane was changed were removed as indicated by time intervals larger than 2.77 s. Scale = 20 µm.
