Movie 2

(Related to Figure 1B). Time-lapse confocal imaging of a X. laevis embryo at NF stage 10-11 undergoing cytokinesis. The embryo was co-injected with MO+Mgc-3xGFP (green) and a probe for MTs (2xmChe-EMTB, red). Mgc-3xGFP decorates equatorial astral MTs and accumulates in puncta at the plus ends of MTs prior to furrow ingression. The movie is 785 s long with a time interval of 2.77 s between frames. A total of 273 frames (single z-planes) are played at 25 fps. Several frames that were out of focus as focal plane was changed or the field of view was shifted were removed as indicated by time intervals larger than 2.77 s. Scale = 20 µm.
