Displaced centrosomes renucleate MTs upon laser ablation.
A mud cell with a displaced centrosome during mitosis. Upon laser ablation of the MTs connecting the centrosome with the spindle (arrow), MTs regrow from the displaced centrosome. Centrosomes: Spd-2:RFP (red), MTs: Tub:GFP (green), septate junction: Nrg:GFP (green).
