This movie shows the dynamic of actin network (Lifeact-GFP) in RPE1 cells plated on crossbow-shaped micropattern. Cells were treated with a control siRNA (siCTR, left) or siRNAs against α-actinin 1 and 4 (siACTN, right). Images were taken every minute. The inset on the right is a magnified view of the upper-right part of the cell. Actin arcs formed in retracting protrusions and concatenated in a continuous cable lining the cell front as they contracted and moved inward.
