Movie 5

Cell motion in response to differential ECM densities.
This movie shows RPE1 cells expressing Lifeact-GFP and moving out of crossbow-shaped micropattern in response to substrate live micropatterning. High (on the right) and low densities (on the left) of ECM spots were added in front of spatially confined cells, offering them the possibility to move on these newly presented regions. Cells were treated with a control siRNA (siCTR, top) or siRNAs against α-actinin 1 and 4 (siACTN, bottom). Images were taken every 10 minutes.
