Three-dimensional imaging of mitochondrial dynamics. CHO-K1 cells stained with MitoTracker™ Red were illuminated for ~5 mins with a 561 nm diode laser set to 0.037 mW. A 15-slice z-stack with step size of 0.25 μm was captured continuously (every 1.88 s) to observe mitochondrial volume over time. Images were captured with an HCX PL APO 63x/1.40NA oil objective and camera exposure time of 50 ms. 2x2 pixel binning was used to enhance S/N. Time is in hr:min:s.ms. Scale bar is 5 μm.
