Time lapse images starting ∼4h post starvation of homothallic strains expressing the formin chimera Fus1N-Cdc12C tagged C-terminally with sfGFP (green) and Myo52-tdTomato (magenta). The movie shows three successful fusion events and one unsuccessful fusion (black arrowhead), in which the two partner cells form distant fusion foci (white arrowhead at 4h in the green channel and subsequent time points).
