Serial section images of a whole glomerulus in adult mouse taken with JSM-IT800. This movie shows images from the 979 serial sections, including the whole glomerulus of an adult mouse. The thickness of the serial sections is 90 nm. The images were taken using a backscatter electron detector in a JSM-IT800 FE-SEM (JEOL, Japan). Distortions of the serial section images are corrected by affine transformation. The backscatter electron images are similar to the conventional transmission electron microscopy images.
