A 3D reconstruction of the head capsule of Euperipatoides rowelli. A complete series of 3 μm transverse sections were imaged using light microscopy and aligned in Amira 5.3.3. The structures of the eyes were reconstructed from 250x image stacks and integrated into the head, which was retraced from 50x image stacks.
