In the second experiment, we modified the distractor stimulus while keeping the principal stimulus, a cricket, the same. The first clip illustrates that spiders are less likely to be distracted by a receding image that appears in the field of view of the ALEs. The second clips illustrates that spiders are more likely to be distracted by a looming image.
