A large specimen of the scale worm Lepidonotus squamatus crawling in a petri dish under bright light. When undisturbed the anterior pair of scales are lifted exposing the two pairs of prostomial eyes but when disturbed mechanically the scales are lowered and the tentacles and palps are retracted for protection.
