Thermal sneeze. In this case, more aptly described as a sneeze, the ‘nasal watering’ behavior observed here is functionally similar to that originally described by Kemp and Kemp, (1980) and later by Janse van Vuuren et al. (2020), which was observed in the southern ground hornbill at high ambient temperatures.
