Example of fish reaching the agitation temperature during CTmax experiments on brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis). The agitation temperature was defined as the point where fish displayed sustained (>5 s) ‘curling’ or ‘bursting’ behaviour by the fish, which likely represents an avoidance response to increasing temperatures.
