EC1.45-active cells appear to contribute to Meckel's cartilage formation by Cremediated lineage tracing. Time-lapse movie of confocal images (maximum intensity projections) over 12 hours from 2 dpf of representative embryo 1 (see Fig. S7Bi), which exhibited an AmCyan to ZsYellow switch in the frontonasal craniofacial region at 1 dpf. ZsYellow signal was observed adjacent to Meckel's cartilage at 2 dpf, with emergence of a ZsYellow-positive, sox10-positive cell within Meckel's cartilage observed at around 60 hpf (white arrow).
