An ommatidium in a retina imaged from 35 to 43 h APF. Lifeact^GFP labels Factin, driven by GMR-GAL4. Expression of Lifeact^GFP was inconsistent in CCs, and bristles are also not labelled in the ommatidia shown. ARAFs become increasingly dense and organized over time. Resolution of F-actin when imaged in the live eye is lower than when imaged in tissue dissected from the pupal head.
