Live imaging of wild-type neuromast hair cells expressing Tg(myo6b:tdtomato) at 4 dpf treated with 10 μM CuSO4 for 20 minutes at 28°C and then immediately imaged. The asterisk follows a hair cell undergoing CuSO4 induced necrosis, where the hair cell disengages from the hair cell cluster, swells, and bursts.
