Symmetry-breaking in microtubule and EB1-GFP spatial patterns during cell-like compartment formation. The movie shows that microtubules and EB1-GFP comets were initially spatially uniformly present, but as microtubules subsequently self-organized into cell-like compartments EB1-GFP also became spatially patterned, with most of the comets appearing inside the compartments. The images capture a single confocal plane very close to the coverslip to ensure clear EB1-GFP signals. Related to Fig. 1.
