Cell morphology upon FSS withdrawal in presence of inhibitors of NMII activity and actin polymerization. MDA-MB-231 cells were exposed to FSS for 72h. At 72h, FSS was withdrawn and the cells were treated with 0.2% DMSO, 20 μM (-) blebbistatin, 20 μM Y27632, 20 μM ML7 or 5 μM cytochalasin D. The bright field images were captured at 5 min intervals for 12h, and movies were played at 10 frames per second. Arrowhead in the movie indicates elastic recovery event in the DMSO treated cell, arrows the spreaded morphology in the (-) blebbistatin and Y27632, and asterisks the rounded and fragmented morphologies in the ML7 and cytochalasin D, respectively, treated cells.
